What to wear.....it's something I get asked often so I've put together a few tips to help you get the most out of your session.
While I don't have any hard and fast rules here are a few tips and tricks that work for whatever your personal style is.
Tip # 1
Solids+accessories
Solids are timeless and can be styled in various different ways to suit your tastes. I like to think of a solid colored dress/shirt as a blank canvas which can be colored up with necklaces, earring, headbands, belts, heels, boots, scarves etc. Accessories really do add some "pop" to the outfit and the variations are endless. Have fun combining different elements for different looks! Here are a few examples I have put together of the same outfit so you can see how accessories play a huge role in determining the final look of the outfit. Different accessories=a different look.

Tip #2
When choosing colors to wear another helpful tip is to keep the color wheel in mind. Remember that together we are making photographic art. Here are two applicable ways to make use of the color wheel:

1.) Choose colors that complement by choosing colors that are opposite from each other on the color wheel.
2.)Choose colors that are right next to each other (analogous). Because they are closely related they work well together. This works best when one color is used dominantly and the others are used as accents.
Tip # 3
Most importantly, have fun! Photography is art and so is fashion. What looks good to one person may not necessarily look good to the next person so do what makes you happy. If you are happy and comfortable that confidence and joy will radiate out of your photos and that is the truest form beauty. You will look amazing!
